• The Sanctuary is also known as the Madonna della Stella Sanctuary;  its name came to the miraculous appearance of a "Star" which ended a bloody battle that took place in Tignale in 1200;

• Inside you can admire a small temple called "Casa Santa", presumably dating back to 800 AD.

• The monumental access stairway dates back to 1599.
